Art Space on the Coast offers two large work areas, 4 pottery wheels, and a slab roller, with capacity for up to 16 persons for a one-time rental engagement and 8 persons for a class series rental. Glaze & Go pottery can be glazed and decorated independently, and no experience is needed apart from using a paint brush. Studio space rental is available on a daily basis, and the space rental is described as designed with an educational purpose in mind.
Only commercial clays and glazes are accepted for kiln firing, and no wild clay is allowed. Work must be completely dry for bisque and low-fire firing, and glazed low fire work must not have any glaze on the bottom. For mid-fire, glazed work must not have any glaze on the bottom, and each piece with glaze near the bottom must be fired on a cookie, which can be purchased for $2 each. No registration is necessary for Glaze & Go, but it is recommended to check ahead if there is a class using the space, and payment for firing services can be made with cash, Venmo, Zelle, or credit card.
