Kids 3-Day Surf Camp

Kids 3-Day Surf Camp focuses on learning how to surf through specific skills such as paddling, push up and pop up techniques, and balancing. Campers also spend time on ocean awareness, including wave breaks, ocean conditions, safety in and out of the water, and wave etiquette during each session.

Adventure Out has been in business since 2004 and operates Kids 3-Day Surf Camp as part of its surf lessons and camps. The camp uses soft core surfboards and provides a wetsuit for each participant, with all gear included in the program fee. Families receive a packing list that includes a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, snack, and water, and campers may bring their own surfboard or wetsuit if they have one. The program maintains a maximum 4:1 student to instructor ratio, and instructors are CPR, First-Aid, and Lifeguard certified. Adventure Out is a fully insured and permitted surf school, is Northern California’s premiere surf school, and is the only nationally accredited surf school in the area, with a perfect safety record. The leadership team includes CEO & Founder Cliff Hodges, Manager of Pacifica Surf School, SF SUP, & Wilderness Medical Alan Yu, Head Survival Instructor & Program Director Jack Harrison, Head Climbing Instructor & Guide Mimi Fenech, and Santa Cruz Surf Instructor Manager Chase LaRue. Adventure Out states that it donates a portion of each reservation fee to environmental conservation in the natural places visited with them, and its mission is “We provide a program & environment that empowers and supports people of all walks-of-life to achieve their wildest adventures in the outdoors, while fostering a respect for and connection to the natural environment.”
