About
UK International Soccer Camps & Programs offers soccer camps, academies, and leagues that include small-sided games, a World Cup competition, and an International Day. The program also offers private 1-on-1 coaching sessions. Week-long camp programs are available in different formats, including Half Day (am or pm), Full Day, or Evening options, and each child receives a dri-fit shirt and an evaluation.
• Ages: 4–14 years old
• Schedule: Week-long camp programs with Half Day (am or pm), Full Day, or Evening options
For over 35 years, UK International Soccer has provided development programs for children of all ages and abilities. The mission of UK International Soccer Camps & Programs is to offer technical, tactical, physical, and psychosocial child-centered development programs. All coaches have graduated from practical assessments and educational seminars, and all coaches have been thoroughly vetted and background-checked. International coaches are selected for their knowledge, coaching ability, and commitment to create a fun, positive learning environment for all children. An online curriculum is used to plan coaching sessions, allowing selection of specific topics.
Academy programs focus on more individual progression in a group setting, while league programs focus on taking individual skill sets and enhancing them in a team setting. The Host A Coach program provides a cultural exchange and a live-in specialist to enhance soccer education. When hosting a coach, a child receives a free place or reimbursement on the related soccer program, and the UK coach provides free private 1-on-1 coaching sessions for children. In the Host A Coach program, all coaches have been thoroughly vetted and background-checked, coaches only need a private place to sleep plus access to washing facilities, there is no expectation to provide food, and all coaches have access to transport so there is no requirement to provide any. Hosting one of the soccer coaches allows a family to learn about another culture while having a live-in soccer specialist.
Testimonials describe the camps and programs during the COVID-19 pandemic as following every guideline and protocol required to keep everyone safe and still have fun, and as organized, engaging, and flexible. Other testimonials state that the spring academy gave many kids the opportunity to play soccer when that usually would not be possible, that players enjoyed the program and coaches were described as top-notch, and that families appreciated having a professional coach and requested the program’s return. A host in Portland described a coach named Aman as kind and generous, a good role model, and a genuine and honest member of the household during the stay.
