Accelerate Hoops is led by Head Coach/Trainer Martin Mouton, also referred to as Coach Martin. The AAU program offers coed teams for 2nd–8th grade with seasons in fall, winter, and spring, and these teams play against surrounding local talent. The mission statement from Coach Martin is: “What Seems Impossible Today Will Soon Become Your Warm-Up! As You Work Hard To Get Better, Our Coaches Will Push You To Get To The Next Level Of Your Game! Accelerate Every Day.”

Families have shared detailed feedback about the program and Coach Martin. Steven describes Coach Martin as patient and focused on teaching correct technique and reports being extremely happy with the program. Chuck notes that Martin combines positive encouragement with challenging kids to do their best and works well with a wide range of abilities and skill levels. Mel reports that their family has tried four different basketball programs and that their kids prefer Coach Martin, highlighting his focus on techniques and fundamentals and describing him as honest and fair in his business decisions. Kyle describes practices as a mix of skills and free-flow scrimmages, with Coach Martin stopping play at times to highlight learning moments and occasionally stepping in to direct positioning.
