CodeREV Kids STEM & Tech Camps and Classes offers in-person and virtual tech camps and classes that include coding, robotics, game design, 3D design and animation, Minecraft modding, and Roblox Studio Game Design with VR. Students can take part in specific courses such as Minecraft Level Design & Engineering, Adventures in Programming, REV Robots, MathCraft Game Design, App Creators, Video Game Development, 3D Modeling and Animation, Rev Engineering, Wild Web Design, VR Unity 3D Game Design, and Coding Drones: Launch for Take Off. The program offers both virtual learning and hands-on project learning from home, and camp work is done on each camper’s own device, with the program encouraging campers to bring their own devices. Families receive all needed information ahead of camp, including videos and support to set up the required software, and campers are able to take home their creations to continue working on them. The curriculum is described as a premier curriculum created by top education technology specialists and engineers, supported by educational specialists from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and the MIT Media Lab, and includes a diverse set of unique courses for different age groups and interests. Most CodeREV Mentors have between 2 and 14 years of experience teaching technology to kids and at least 1 year of work experience in the tech sector, with instructors having worked at companies such as Google, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Sony, Sega, and Riot Games. The program notes that only the most elite instructors have at least 5 years of teaching CodeREV tech courses along with real-world tech work experience. The program has been recognized with an award described as “Best Unique Summer Day Camps.”
