Dance Connection Summer Camps notes that camps are limited to a small group, that kids dance, create, and play in small groups, and that each camper receives a camp T-shirt as a keepsake and participates in a Friday Showcase to share progress in front of family. The program states that camps give kids ages 4–14 a place to try dance for the first time, explore a new style, or level up their skills, and describes its approach as “Creative camp THEMEs. Real skills. Non-stop fun.” Some camps offer before care for half-day sessions and before and after care for full-day sessions, and Hip Hop Superstar Camp overlaps with a ballet intensive by one hour, with a $75 discount for families registered for both.

Dance Connection’s mission statement is “Training exceptional dancers. Developing exceptional people,” and it describes a space where high standards, discipline, joy, and community fit together, with teachers supporting, challenging, and celebrating dancers at every stage of their dance journey. The leadership team includes Director Corie Tyson, Founding Director Cindy Ginanni, Performing Company Artistic Director Nikki Tavares, Ballet Company Artistic Director Peter Hershey, and Hip Hop Artistic Director Francis Tyrell. Instructor Jennifer received ballet training in San Francisco with the Academy of Ballet, Dancers' Stage, Lanova Academy, City Ballet School, and Boston Ballet School, has performed with Peninsula Ballet Theater, San Francisco Dance Theater, and Santa Clara Ballet, and performed in the San Francisco production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's “The Phantom of the Opera” for four and a half years; she has been teaching at Dance Connection since 2001.

The organization also presents a ballet performance called INCEPTIONS, featuring the Special Preparatory and Junior Preparatory ballet companies, in which Dance Connection dancers ages nine to sixteen perform classical works and original choreography by ballet teachers Peter Hershey, Jennifer Kulz-Smith, and Brooke Wertwijn. All proceeds from INCEPTIONS benefit the Palo Alto Dance Connection Youth Ensemble and support scholarships for dancers, and tickets are listed at $25, with kids under 5 free.
