About
DREAMxDANCERS offers dance classes that include Jazz, Cheer, Ballet, and general dance instruction. Classes are taught by experienced dancers and are held in 1-hour sessions every Saturday afternoon.
• Ages: 5–11 years old
• Schedule: 1-hour dance classes every Saturday afternoon, with tuition covering a February–May session (5 months, 12 classes)
• Price: $165 for all 12 classes, including a free T-shirt and bow ($40 value); tuition is listed as $38 per month
DREAMxDANCERS is a student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and 50% of proceeds go directly to charities, with the Winter 2026 session supporting MedShare, while the remaining 50% supports the community dance program. The program operates under the mission of making dance accessible to children from all backgrounds and experiences and states that every child deserves to explore their passion to dance. CEO and Founder Ayaka Sonehara is a former competitive dancer with over 11 years of experience and has guided aspiring competitive dancers to top 12 and top 3 placements in the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), and the leadership team also includes COO Alisa Sonehara. Jazz, Cheer, and Ballet are taught by experienced dancers, and dance students have the opportunity to teach and work with younger dancers. Students who attend 7 or more classes receive a certificate of completion or Dance Excellence certificate recognizing their participation. New students can try one class for free by choosing any class and telling the instructor on arrival, and if it is raining, class is held at an alternate place communicated through Instagram Stories or email. The program notes that it aims to create a supportive and inclusive community where everyone can grow together and that it focuses on providing accessible and affordable dance classes to children. Since classes are held outdoors on grass or concrete, children are asked to wear comfortable, flexible clothing such as leggings or joggers with a T-shirt or long-sleeve top and comfortable, supportive shoes.
