Friday Night Waltz offers social dancing that includes waltz, polka, tango, swing, salsa, and Night Club Two Step. The program includes both a Beginner Night Club 2 Step class and an Intermediate Night Club 2 Step class, followed by DJ dance music.
• Schedule: Doors open at 7:00, classes start at 7:15, an intermediate class begins at 8:00, DJ dance music starts at 9:00, and doors close at 11:45.
• Price: $15 general admission and $10 for students with ID, with payment by cash, check, credit card, or Apple Pay, and tickets sold at the door.
Friday Night Waltz features mostly waltzes in the dances and classes, along with polka, tango, swing, and salsa. Partners are not needed, and the program rotates partners rapidly in classes. Attendees wear casual, comfortable attire and are asked to wear non-marking shoes. The program is open to all ages, with masks optional, and offers free masks and free bottles of water. People come from all over the Bay Area, and the leadership team includes John Bauer (DJ), John and Stella (instructors for Night Club Two Step), Lisa (DJ), Stefan (instructor), Richard Powers, and Jason (Pride music night DJ).
