Imagina Daycare is a home-based Spanish immersion daycare with a warm environment that is described as clean, fun, creative, and focused on the child. It offers a unique early childhood and nursery Spanish immersion program that is play-based and child-centered, and it is inspired by the Reggio Emilia school and education for life approach. The program is described as a dynamic and enriching Spanish immersion experience with exposure to Spanish culture in an immersive environment where children absorb the Spanish language naturally. It also offers a Spanish immersion preschool setting that supports children in becoming bilingual and bicultural from an early age, in a bilingual daycare environment.

The program serves children at a child care center with Menlo Park and Palo Alto locations and has been operating for over 12 years since Imagina Spanish Immersion Day Care Program opened. Esther is the owner of Imagina Daycare, is licensed as a Family Day Care owner, and has been involved in Early Childhood Development for over 15 years in the Bay Area, including work in local preschool centers in San Mateo and Los Gatos as a Spanish enrichment teacher. Experienced daycare staff create a child-centered learning environment. The stated mission is to provide the best possible care and overall rewarding experience for the child and family.

Imagina Daycare offers warm, home-made Mediterranean-style cooking for children’s daily meals, along with nutritious organic meals and two snacks a day with no trans fats. Nearly all the children that have been at Imagina have entered a local public school, usually Laurel or Escondido, as native Spanish speakers.

Parents describe the program as a wonderful home-based Spanish immersion daycare and mention that their children love it, with one parent calling it “wonderful bilingual daycare” and another describing it as a “wonderful place for my kids to grow.”
