About
Pacific Art League Classes, Workshops & Summer Camps offers art classes, workshops, and summer camps that include drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. The program also hosts monthly themed exhibitions, annual members exhibitions, and First Friday opening receptions for exhibitions.
• Ages: 5–18 years old

• Price: Pacific Art League membership is $100, and members receive a 10% discount on most classes and workshops; class tuition is listed as “Regular Price / Member Price,” and refunds for withdrawals are issued to the original method of payment minus a $20 administrative fee for Summer Camp Art Academy classes withdrawn 14 or more days before the first class or 8 or more days before the first class, and minus a $15 administrative fee for workshops withdrawn 4 or more days before the first workshop.
Pacific Art League operates as a nonprofit art school, gallery, and community hub in a historic Spanish Revival building designed by architect Birge Clark, and offerings can take place at client sites or in the PAL studios. Summer camps are led by working artists, and there are approximately 35–40 instructors serving over 2,000 students per quarter. The organization’s mission is to inspire and nurture the growth of individuals and communities in the Bay Area by providing access to transformative creative experiences through art. The Pacific Art League, originally known as the Palo Alto Art Club, was founded in 1921, purchased its current home in 1965, changed its name in 1984, and completed a $4 million building renovation in 2014.
Pacific Art League provides community outreach, school programs, scholarships, and free community art events that invite everyone to make, explore, and connect, and its exhibitions bring the creative community together. Corporate art workshops function as team building activities and have been enjoyed by corporate teams across the Bay Area. Supply lists are available on the PAL website under each course description, students purchase their own supplies before the first class, some classes list a materials fee payable directly to the instructor by cash or check at the first class, and model fees vary by class and are listed in the course description. First Friday opening receptions include light refreshments and a drink.
