Parents Nursery School

Parents Nursery School is a part-time, play-based nursery school program for children ages 2-5 and their families. It offers the Two's/Young Three's Class, the Mixed Age Class, Wednesday Play Day, and Stay & Play. Wednesday Play Day is a drop-off program with largely self-directed outdoor play and a snack. Stay & Play is an extended-day program with largely self-directed outdoor play, and lunch is not provided.

Programs

• Two's/Young Three's Class — 2-3 years · Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, 9:00 am to 11:45 am
• Mixed Age Class — 3-5 years · Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9:15 am to 12:15 pm · Parents either have one workday per week or per month, depending on whether they are enrolled in the full co-op or partial co-op program.
• Wednesday Play Day — 2-5 years · Wednesdays, 9:15 am to 12:15 pm · Drop-off program with no extra parent participation required. Play is largely self-directed and outside. A snack is provided.
• Stay & Play — 3+ years · Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays until 2:15 pm · Extended-day program. Lunch is not provided. Play is largely self-directed and outside. Parents help for this extended day 5 times per semester, regardless of co-op tier.

About the provider

Parents Nursery School was established in 1949. It is a non-profit, parent-driven nursery school with a nurturing, developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum. Parents work alongside teachers in the classroom, and the school is organized and administered by parents and guided by trained teachers. Parents are required to attend evening parent education meetings about once monthly.

Parents can drop off children on some days in the Two's/Young Three's Class.
