Whitlinger/Sarsfield Tennis – City of Palo Alto Tennis & Pickleball Classes offers group tennis classes, individual tennis lessons, and both adult and junior pickleball classes. Tennis class options include Terrific Tiny Tennis, Quickstart Tennis, Quickstart Advantage Tennis, Junior Novice Tennis, Junior Low Intermediate Tennis, Junior Intermediate Tennis, Adult Novice Tennis, Adult Low Intermediate Tennis, Adult Intermediate Tennis, and Advanced Players Tennis. • Price: Director’s (Tom Sarsfield) hourly rate is $120 for one person, plus $10 more per hour for each additional person; Pro’s hourly rate is $95 for one player, plus $5 more per hour for each additional person, with a $5 per hour discount for three or more lessons paid in advance, and only checks payable to “Tom Sarsfield” are accepted.

The peak Whitlinger Cup year was 2008 with 149 players, with eight teams competing per year from 1990–2009, six teams from 2010–2014, and five teams from 2015–2017, and six different cities winning the Cup at least once.
