Whitlinger/Sarsfield Tennis – City of Palo Alto Tennis & Pickleball Classes offers tennis classes, individual tennis lessons, and both adult and junior pickleball classes. Tennis Camps (11–14) Monday–Friday 10:30am–12pm, as well as afternoon and evening classes like Terrific Tiny Tennis (5–7) on various Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday time slots, Quickstart Tennis and Quickstart Advantage Tennis (8–10) Tuesday/Thursday afternoons, Jr. Int. Tennis Camps (10–15) Tuesday–Wednesday–Thursday 1:30–3pm, and multiple Adult Novice, Adult Low Int., Adult Intermediate, and Advanced Players Tennis options in the evenings and on Saturdays.
• Price: Director’s (Tom Sarsfield) hourly rate is $125 for one person, with $10 more per hour for each additional person; a pro’s hourly rate is $100 for one player, with $5 more per hour for each additional person; there is a $5 per hour discount for three or more lessons paid in advance, and only checks payable to “Tom Sarsfield” are accepted.
Whitlinger/Sarsfield Tennis has been providing tennis classes and individual lessons for over 35 years and currently serves six Bay Area cities. The leadership team includes Director and RSPA Elite Pro Tom Sarsfield, RSPA Pros Neil Da Silva, John Chan, and Hung Nguyen, and 10 & Under Specialist Lisa Sarsfield. Whitlinger/Sarsfield Tennis has a history with the Whitlinger Cup, which culminated the Junior League program for Intermediate and High Intermediate players each year from 1989–2019, with Stanford University hosting the event from 1990–2016 and a peak year of 149 players in 2008. Six different cities won the Whitlinger Cup at least once, and eight teams competed per year from 1990–2009, six teams from 2010–14, and five teams from 2015–17.
