Light Soccer Camp was started by David and Fernando Light. Coach David has a US Soccer B License, has coached varsity boys high school and club, and is coaching U-15 and U-14 NPL/MLS teams. Coach Fernando has been a club and high school coach in the area over the last 15 years and is coaching a top NPL 1/MLS team. The camp mission is to create confident, creative, and passionate players who develop a love for the game, and to support players in developing their skills while having fun and cultivating their talents in a safe and positive environment.

One parent, Reina, shared that her 8-year-old son attended a spring camp, loved it, and that his week included three hours per day of technical lessons and games with Coach David and Coach Fernando, whom she described as very experienced coaches. Another parent, Angela, said that Fernando came prepared with a workout plan based on her son’s background and that the session was full of skills and drills. A parent named Alex L. said his boys have practiced with David Light for years and described the trainings as fun, personable, and helpful for soccer skills development, and also mentioned that David created a bonding family atmosphere on the team. Another parent, DeDevrim L., said that both an 8-year-old and a 12-year-old in the family have done multiple camps with Coach David and described his approach as balancing fun, teaching skills, and instilling a passion for soccer.

The camp lists several features, including World Cup themed summer camps 2026, a focus on creating a passion and love for the game for boys and girls, an emphasis on shooting and finishing, and a plan for the player-to-coach ratio to be 6 to 1 or less. It states that all levels are welcomed, that it is player centered, and that it offers single day or multiple day camps. It also notes a very low player to coach ratio, sibling discounts of 25% off both siblings with the code “sibling” at checkout, and a promotion where families who sign up for three weeks in summer receive a fourth week free.
