Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley operates The Club – Paradise Teen Center for teens, with a focus on out-of-school time. Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1995 and was founded to deliver comprehensive youth development programs across California’s Northstate region. Its mission is to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as responsible, productive and caring citizens. The organization serves over 1,600 youth at 11 sites in Butte and Glenn Counties, offering programs for ages 5 to 18 in academics, health and wellness, and character and leadership, and benefits from the support of more than 500 community volunteers. It is audited and endorsed by the Grand Jury as a proven program, is a platinum participant through GuideStar/Candid, is compliant with the Office of State Assembly, serves as a training site for Boys & Girls Clubs and other after school programs, and is described as a model program for youth development best practices. The organization notes that the true cost per member is around $2,500 annually, and that generous donors and funders help ensure access for every child.
