About
Paradise Recreation and Park District Programs offers after school programming, summer camp, preschool activities, youth sports, teen programs, and special events. The program also includes adult sports, senior services, and aquatics as part of its activities.

• Price: Fees are charged for most programs, to cover a portion of the instructors, program supplies, maintenance and/or utility costs.
Paradise Recreation and Park District was incorporated in 1948. Its mission statement is: “We Create Community and Quality of Life Through People, Parks and Programs.” PRPD works directly with the Paradise Symphony, Gold Nugget Museum, Do-It-Leisure, Paradise Bowhunters, Little League, Paradise Ridge Soccer Club, and the Paradise Unified School District in providing leisure services. PRPD is an independent special district serving over 50,000 individuals in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California, approximately 90 miles north of Sacramento. It covers approximately 165 square miles that includes the Town of Paradise, Paradise Pines, Butte Creek Canyon, and the Concow area. PRPD maintains 73 acres of developed park land and another 358 acres of natural open space. Online registration and payment is available for many programs, and registration is also available in the district office from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday, as well as by mail-in forms from the website or office. Refunds are given only if cancelled by 5:00 PM the day following the first-class session, with specific rules for classes of four meetings or less and a 20% processing fee per program, except for classes cancelled by the District, and all refunds are issued within 14 days of cancellation. Payments can be made by check, cash, or ATM/Debit cards (with Visa/Master Card & Discover logo), Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover in the office between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
