Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast offers activities such as jewelry making, STEAM programs, and help with homework. The program includes adults who mentor and tutor members and provides healthy daily snacks. It offers safe, inclusive spaces and experiences and continually updates and innovates safety policies, programs, and training for staff and volunteers. Programs are designed to achieve priority outcomes in three main areas: Education, Character, and Health.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast has served youth since the first doors opened in 1966 and now has more than 1,500 registered youth members. It supports all youth and teens of every race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, ability, socio-economic status, and religion in reaching their full potential. The organization expanded programming in 2023 to include service to children enrolled in TK/Kindergarten programs. It serves members in the communities of Santa Maria, Guadalupe, Atascadero, Paso Robles, Creston, and Shandon and benefits an additional 4,000 local children each year through outreach, including sponsored arts and sports programs. Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast oversees a budget of nearly $6 million raised from individual and corporate contributions, foundation and government grants, special events, and program service contracts. An alumni statistic from the organization reports that “57% of Alumni say the club saved my life.”
