Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast offers hands-on STEM activities such as creating lava lamps and exploring the properties of dry ice during science day. The program also includes a summer camp, a Power Hour raffle, and pool day activities.

Since the first doors opened in 1966, Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast has provided programs for local youth. The organization expanded programming in 2023 to include service to children enrolled in TK/Kindergarten programs and has expanded to two counties and 11 Clubs, with more than 1,500 registered youth members. Through outreach, including sponsored arts and sports programs, Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast benefits an additional 4,000 local children each year and serves members in the communities of Santa Maria, Guadalupe, Atascadero, Paso Robles, Creston, and Shandon.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast provides youth with a safe place for afterschool child development programming as well as adults who mentor and tutor members. Afterschool programs offered include STEAM programs and help with homework, and the program provides healthy daily snacks. Programs are designed to achieve priority outcomes for lifetime success in three main areas: Education, Character, and Health. The mission and core values of Boys & Girls Clubs fuel a commitment to promoting safe, positive and inclusive environments for all, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast supports all youth and teens of every race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, ability, socio-economic status, and religion in reaching their full potential. Demographic data for members show that 85% are Hispanic where Spanish is the predominant language spoken in the home, 70% qualify for English Learner support in school, approximately 33% come from single parent homes, approximately 90% qualify for free or reduced meal programs during the school year based upon state and federal guidelines, 55% of members are male and 45% are female, and 17% are teenagers while 83% are ages 6–12.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast and Good Samaritan Shelter partnered together for a fundraiser event, Rock ‘N Roll Bingo.
