About
Bale of Fun Farm offers birthday celebrations, playgroup adventures, group picnics, field-trips, farm birthday parties, and picnics that include time to feed, pet, and hold animals. The program also offers pony rides, summer farm camp, and other summer camps, all arranged by appointment only. Private parties, group picnics, and farm tours are available as scheduled events.
• Schedule: Late April through late October, not open on weekdays except for some summer exceptions; all hours and visits are by appointment only
Bale of Fun Farm is a family-run farm with a patio party area, a lawn area with more seating, a child’s picnic table, a full adult picnic table, and a bathroom with a sink for washing hands. Guests may bring their own food and drinks, and a BBQ is available when guests bring their own charcoal. The farm began with 3 goats and now has over 75 animals, with about 90% of them rescued or surrendered. Animals at the farm include chickens, ducks, geese, sheep, goats, alpacas, miniature horses, a donkey, a pony, a quarter horse, a cow, doves, pigeons, dogs, cats, bunnies, a turtle, pot-belly pigs, guinea pigs, a bearded dragon, and many different birds and parrots. The program states that it has a passion for children and a passion for animals and describes itself as a place where young children can enjoy life on a farm. The farm offers 3–4 different weeks of summer farm camp, and a booking calendar is posted each January. All events are by appointment only, with no drop-in visitors, and the farm states, “We guarantee a bale of fun!” The contact for the program is Jennifer Crum, and the farm also welcomes donations of supplies, feed, shelters, and similar items for the care and upkeep of its rescues.
