About this workshop:
Transform simple paper lanterns into glowing works of art using the magical process of cyanotype. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore how light, chemistry, and layered imagery come together to create luminous blue prints directly on cyanotype-coated lanterns. Experiment with botanicals, photographic and hand-drawn images on transparencies, and mulberry paper patches to craft a one-of-a-kind, functional work of art. Learn how to expand your knowledge of cyanotype chemistry and light-based printmaking while discovering creative ways to compose imagery on a three-dimensional surface. Leave with a beautifully handcrafted lantern that glows with your own unique design.
