Petaluma Wrestling Club offers wrestling for young athletes, including Folkstyle programming, Freestyle/Greco-Roman programming, and camps and clinics. The program includes options for beginners and newer wrestlers that focus on wrestling fundamentals and fun, as well as training and competition for wrestlers with elite goals.

• Schedule: Fall Folkstyle for competitive upper elementary, junior high and high school wrestlers; winter Folkstyle for elementary age wrestlers of all skill levels; spring Freestyle/Greco-Roman for wrestlers of all ages; summer Folkstyle and camps/clinics for all ages and skill levels

Petaluma Wrestling Club (PWC) is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the growth and development of young athletes in grades K–12 through the sport of wrestling. PWC is a USA Wrestling Chartered Club and a member of the Coastal Mountain Wrestling Association. The club offers programs tailored to different skill levels, including access to high-level coaching, renowned clinicians, and a challenging tournament schedule with coaching support at local, state, regional, and national/international competitions. Petaluma Wrestling Club wrestlers in elementary through high school have placed at regional, state, and national/international tournaments such as the NorCal Tournament of Champions, CAUSA Wrestling Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco-Roman state tournaments, and Reno Worlds.

PWC was founded in 2019 by Mike Gardner and Isaac Raya. The leadership team includes Austin Wehe (President), Abby Lucha (Vice President), Ben Pearce (Secretary), Brad Bryon (Treasurer), Isaac Raya (Director), Matthew Becker (Director), Lisa Yee (Director), and Jonathan Lucha (Director). The club is run by dedicated volunteers who share a passion for the sport and a commitment to developing well-rounded young people, and its leadership serves as positive role models, demonstrating professionalism and integrity on and off the wrestling mat. PWC is supported by an engaged Board of Directors and community support, and it aims to continually improve and expand opportunities for athletes in wrestling.

The club’s coaches have decades of combined youth wrestling coaching experience and hold Wrestling Leader memberships through USA Wrestling, which require background checks and SafeSport training. PWC provides a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment for wrestlers of all ages and skill levels. Wrestling is presented as being for everyone, with accessibility reflected in affordable fees and financial aid options. The club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with opportunities for wrestlers of all ages and skill levels, and tax-deductible donations directly benefit Petaluma Wrestling Club.

Petaluma Wrestling Club is a USA Wrestling Chartered Club and a member of the Coastal Mountain Wrestling Association, and its team was crowned the Coastal Mountain Wrestling Association Champions in 2024. The club supports the extended wrestling community through coaching support to the local association (Coastal Mountain Wrestling Association), IT assistance at events, and help with fundraisers.
