Pleasanton Girls Softball League offers recreational and competitive girls’ fastpitch softball programs. Players take part in games, competitions, and softball training days at DBat Livermore. The league also holds a Player Appreciation Day that includes competitions, prizes, and pizza.

Founded in 1977, Pleasanton Girls Softball League operates as a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation run by community volunteers. Its mission is to provide a quality recreation and developmental softball program for girls of ages 5 to 18 regardless of race, creed, color, religion, national origin and/or ability. The league supports the concepts of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) that encourages coaches to be a “Double-Goal Coach®.” Its stated objectives include developing physical and mental fitness, wholesome sportsmanship, respect for teammates, teaching basic skills and fundamentals of softball, developing positive coaching skills, building confidence, raising self-esteem, encouraging responsibility, and providing fun and enjoyment to all participants. The Pleasanton Girls Softball League provides programs for the communities of Pleasanton, Dublin and Sunol. The league also recognizes participants through the Bob Shigemoto Sportsmanship Award and The Jerry Fourie Scholarship Fund.
