Pleasanton Girls Softball League offers recreational and competitive girls’ fastpitch softball programs. Players take part in activities such as training days at DBat Livermore and defense drills as part of the program structure.

Founded in 1977, Pleasanton Girls Softball League operates as a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation. Its stated mission is to provide a quality recreation and developmental softball program for girls ages 5 to 18 regardless of race, creed, color, religion, national origin, or ability. The league’s purpose is to provide recreational and competitive girls’ fastpitch softball programs for the communities of Pleasanton, Dublin, and Sunol, and it is run by community volunteers. The league supports the concepts of the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) that encourage coaches to be “Double-Goal Coach®.” Its objectives include developing the physical and mental fitness of girls in the community, providing an environment to develop an attitude of wholesome sportsmanship and respect for fellow teammates, teaching the basic skills and fundamentals of softball through qualified leadership and coaches, developing positive coaching skills, knowledge, and attitudes through clinics and training programs, building confidence, raising self-esteem, encouraging responsibility, and developing a softball program that will provide fun and enjoyment to all participants.
