About
Kungfu Dragon USA offers Shaolin Kungfu-based programs that include self-defense, fist forms, weapon forms, and both traditional and contemporary styles. Students can take part in personal training, Chinese Kickboxing (Sanda, San Shou), weapons training, a structured Shaolin Kung Fu curriculum, Lion Dance, performance demos, school events, and an after school program.

Kungfu Dragon USA was founded in 2013 and is described as the leading Chinese martial arts school in the Tri-Valley area. The program teaches authentic Shaolin Kungfu and contemporary Wushu and emphasizes character values such as Respect, Integrity, Loyalty, Tolerance, Perseverance, Patience, Dignity, Humility, Honor, Indomitable Spirit, Cooperation, and Teamwork. It operates in two state-of-the-art Kung Fu training centers with over 10,000 square feet of training space and offers a free trial class. A performance demo team and Lion Dancing performances are available for special events or occasions.
The leadership team includes founder and Pleasanton Headmaster Zhenlong Yu (Shifu Long), San Ramon Headmasters Yandong Peng (Shifu Peng) and Lei Fan (Shifu Lei Fan), School Manager Shifu Jacob, Performance Coordinator and choreographer Shifu Li Xiao, and Taichi Master Grandmaster Peng Weng. KFDUSA students have earned numerous awards in national tournaments and have participated in community events that foster cultural connections in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Shifu Long is a 34th generation Shaolin Kung Fu Warrior who began training at Shaolin Temple at age 7, is the youngest 7th Degree Black Belt and a National Judge of the International San Shou Dao Association, is listed in the Honorable World Famous Martial Arts Directory and Most Remarkable Martial Arts Performance, was a finalist in China “Kung Fu Star” Global Television Competition, received the Beijing International Kung Fu Culture Outstanding Coach Award, and was the 2013 WildAid Tiger Claw Champion. Shifu Peng graduated from Shaolin Tagou Kungfu School, specializes in Sanda, traditional Shaolin fist, exotic weapons, and qigong “erzhichan” (2 iron fingers), participated in the opening ceremony of the Guangzhou Asian Games and martial arts programs by China Central Television, and received the 2017 International Wushu Elite Award from the International Wushu Sanshou Dao Association. Shifu Lei Fan has experience as an athlete, performer, and coach on Chengdu Municipal and Sichuan Provincial Wushu teams, has coached at both teams, and holds titles including Sword Champion, Staff Champion, Form Champion, and All-around Champion at the South American New England International Chinese Wushu World Cup 2014, 2016 Texas International Wushu Champion Grand Championship, and 2018 WildAid Tiger Claw Champion Grand Championship.
Shifu Jacob began training in 1996 in Choy Lay Fut, Wing Chun, and Xing Yi Chuan, has won numerous first-place tournament awards in China, California, Chicago, and Hawaii, has taught hundreds of kids, and holds a 4th Degree Black Belt in the International Wushu Sanshou Dao Association. Shifu Li Xiao studied at Shaolintagou Martial Art School and SongShan Shaolin Wushu College, has taught in Confucius Institute programs, and has earned multiple gold medals at USA International Wushu-KungFu tournaments, including three gold medals at the 2017 8th USA International Wushu-KungFu Tournament, three gold medals at the 2019 10th USA International Wushu-KungFu Tournament, and three gold medals at the 2019 2nd Annual New York International Wushu Masters Association. Shifu Meng studied at Yinglong Shaolin School, became a disciple of Abbott Shi Yongxin, joined the Shaolin Kungfu Warriors Team, participated in international events, and taught at the Shaolin Temple Martial Arts School from 2015 to 2023. Shifu Fan began practicing martial arts in 2013, has multiple first-place gold medals in Chinese martial arts tournaments, became a disciple of Abbott Shi Yongxin, joined the Shaolin Kungfu Warriors Team, and participated in international events including CCTV’s Spring Festival Gala and the World Kungfu Championship.
