Club Leon Pomona offers soccer try outs, annual showcases, and match experiences. Players take part in training that includes technical development, finishing and attacking, and team-based drills. Some top players are invited each year to an elite tournament.
Club Leon Pomona is the official youth soccer academy representing Club León and is the Official Affiliated Academy of Club León in Los Angeles County. The academy was officially founded in 2024 in Pomona in Los Angeles County. Every year, top players are invited to an elite tournament in León, Guanajuato, where they compete against affiliated teams in front of the Club León Scouting Department. The program focuses on developing skilled, confident, and disciplined players through structured training and teamwork and aims to provide professional training at affordable prices to help develop talent.
The Director is Josue Espinoza, who has coaching experience with Manchester City and the LA Galaxy, among others. His coaching education includes the English Football Association, the Football Association of Wales (UEFA C & B), the U.S. Soccer Federation, the Spanish Federation, and Argentina U-17. The coaching staff experience listed includes Manchester City Club Methodology, Physical Trainer of the Dutch National Team, Assistant to Guus Hiddink, Club Independiente de Avellaneda, Real Madrid U10 and U14 training, and LA Galaxy Academy and First Team sessions. Club Leon Pomona states a mission of “Unlocking the potential in every player—where skill, passion, and determination define success, not income,” and “Bridging the gap in soccer by making talent, not income, the key to success.” The program also states that it collaborates with organizations that support this mission.
