Music Tree School offers instruction in Acting for Stage, Ballet, Broadway, Hip Hop, Tap, and Tiny Tot Dance, along with music lessons in Guitar, Music Production, Piano, Voice, Violin, Viola, and Cello. The program also includes classes called First Notes, Kinder Prep, Parent and Me Preschool, Beauty of Broadway, and a Summer Recital. New students can access a discounted demo class, and students can participate in a Summer Recital performance.

Music Tree School was started by Ms. Monica Flores in April of 2014. She is the owner and founder and teaches First Notes, Kinder Prep, Piano, and Voice. The leadership team also includes School Director Ms. Steffanie Altig, who teaches Beauty of Broadway, First Notes, Piano, Parent and Me Preschool, and Voice, and Dance Director Mrs. Lindsey Humphreys, who teaches Acting for Stage, Ballet, Broadway, Hip Hop, Tap, and Tiny Tot Dance.
Ms. Steffanie Altig graduated from California Baptist University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Music: Vocal Performance and in 2014 with a Master of Music: Vocal Performance, has been teaching voice and piano across Southern California for 10 years, and has taught at Music Tree for over five years. Mr. Adam Gomez holds an A.S. in Social Behavior Science and an A.A. in Recording Technology from Citrus College and completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Industry Studies at Cal Poly Pomona in May 2019. Dr. Elaine Huang holds degrees from East China Normal University (B.A.), Temple University (M.M.), and the University of Kansas (D.M.A.), is an active member of MTNA and NATS, and founded the Asian Classical Music Initiative (ACMI) to recognize and celebrate the contributions of Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander classical music composers. Chen attended New York University, majored in music education, studied with Mark Steinberg of the Brentano String Quartet, and has over 20 years of experience as a music teacher, violinist/violist, and conductor. Mrs. Lindsey Humphreys graduated from University of Riverside with a degree in Dance and previously earned an Associate’s Degree in Musical Theatre, Music, and Dance from Citrus College.
Dr. Elaine Huang has won top prizes in the Russian International Opera Competition, Minnesota NATS Competition, Kansas City Musical Club Miller Scholarship Award, Ordin International Competition, London International Classical Music Competition, and Charleston International Contemporary Music Competition. Music Tree was featured in VoyageLA. Music Tree School also hosts a book launch and related event for Ms. Monica Flores’ book “Stubborn Enough.” The school states that its knowledgeable staff provides a nurturing environment for each student to reach their maximum potential as musicians and that it was started with the hope of planting the seed of music so it could grow deep roots and create an everlasting love for music.
