Cordova Baptist Preschool & Kindergarten opened in 1963 and has been part of the Rancho Cordova community for more than sixty years, serving families in the Sacramento community. It was founded as an outreach of Cordova Baptist Church to share care, stability, and support with local families and is non-sectarian, welcoming children and families of all faiths and backgrounds. The program includes weekly learning themes such as Community Helpers and Community Helper Day and hosts special visitors such as local firefighters and Santa Claus. Many former students return decades later to enroll their own children, and families and their unique cultures, traditions, and relationships are valued.

The mission of Cordova Baptist Preschool & Kindergarten is to serve the youngest members of the community by providing a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where children can explore, laugh, and grow. The focus is on supporting intellectual, creative, social, emotional, and physical development and encouraging children to learn, play, and thrive with confidence. The program was created to share care, stability, and support with local families, and it is based on the belief that learning happens best through discovery, play, exploration, and guided experiences so children can become lifelong learners.

The leadership team includes Director and Principal Carrie Huppert, Kindergarten Teacher Stephanie Stone, Preschool Teacher Taylor Wade, Volunteer JoAnn Brudfladt, Volunteer Lois Ballard, and Classroom Aide Dana Saiz. Carrie Huppert holds degrees in Early Childhood Education, Business, and Liberal Arts. Stephanie Stone has degrees in early childhood education and general education.
