Grand Master Rankins leads the program. He started his training in 1968, joined the USAF military in 1969, and opened the Rancho Cordova school in 1983 as a 4th Dan Black Belt. On September 26, 2020, after 52 years of training, he successfully tested for the rank of 9th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo, which is described by the program as the highest achievable rank in this martial art.
