Rancho Cordova Jr. Lancers Football and Cheer offers a fall tackle football program and a fall cheerleading program. The program also includes a Football training camp, Cheerleading training clinics, a Lancer Community Football and Cheer Camp, Mascot Football as a practice and learning team only, and film review for football players.
• Ages: 5–15 years old
• Schedule: Fall football and cheer programs run July 13, 2026, through November 8, 2026, with Mascot Football running July 13, 2026, through October 30, 2026; cheer practices are three days a week, Tuesday through Thursday, 6pm to 8pm, football practices are four to five days a week from 6pm to 8pm, film review typically occurs on Mondays, and the Lancer Community Football and Cheer Camp is listed on June 10, June 11, June 17, and June 18. The program’s stated mission is: “Welcome to the Rancho Cordova Jr. Lancers Football and Cheer Youth Sports Program Part of the Sierra Athletic Conference (SAC) It takes a village to raise a community!” Rancho Cordova Jr. Lancers Football and Cheer is part of the Sierra Athletic Conference (SAC). Junior Lancers Free Community training camps are starting in April at Mills Middle School, and Junior Lancers training camps begin in May for cheer. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. Volunteers must register, submit to a background check, and interview for all positions prior to enrollment, and volunteers receive apparel and a badge that shows their title. Cheerleaders must be registered to be given uniforms and allowed to cheer on a squad, football players must be registered and have enrollment paid to be given equipment and allowed to play on a team, and Mascot Football players must be registered and have enrollment paid to be given equipment. Mascot Football is set up to teach the youngest athletes the fundamentals of the sport, integrate them into a team setting, and prepare them for future seasons of tackle football, and the Mascot Football squad is being set up on a trial run for the 2026 season. Mascot players will not be playing live games on Saturdays due to safety concerns, and this is a practice and learning team only, but Mascot players will get gear to use during practices, a jersey, end of season events, and practice time with the team.
