Rancho Cordova Jr. Lancers Football and Cheer offers a fall cheerleading program, fall tackle football program, Mascot Football practice and learning team, cheerleading training clinics, a football training camp, and free community football training camps. Cheerleaders participate in an 8 game football season with home and away games, a start of season Jamboree event, and potential playoff games, and football players participate in a minimum 8 game football season with home and away games. Mascot Football is a practice and learning team only and will not be playing live games on Saturdays due to safety concerns, and the Mascot Football squad is being set up on a trial run for the 2026 season.
• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: Cheer practice runs three days a week, Tuesday through Thursday, 6pm to 8pm; football practice runs four to five days a week from 6pm to 8pm; film review for football typically occurs on Mondays; the 2026 fall cheer and football seasons run from July 13, 2026, to November 8, 2026, and the 2026 Mascot Football season runs from July 13, 2026, to October 30, 2026.
• Price: 2026 Fall Cheer registration ranges from $600.00 to $700.00; 2026 Fall Football registration ranges from $500.00 to $600.00; 2026 Mascot Football registration ranges from $350.00 to $400.00.
The Rancho Cordova Jr. Lancers Football and Cheer Youth Sports Program is part of the Sierra Athletic Conference (SAC), and its mission statement is, “Welcome to the Rancho Cordova Jr. Lancers Football and Cheer Youth Sports Program Part of the Sierra Athletic Conference (SAC) It takes a village to raise a community!” Free community training camps are starting in April. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
Cheerleaders must be registered to be given uniforms and allowed to cheer on a squad. Football and Mascot Football players must be registered and have enrollment paid to be given equipment and allowed to play on a team, and Mascot Football players will get gear to use during practices, a jersey, and end of season events. Registration for cheer includes a refundable $100 volunteer deposit and refundable $100 uniform deposit, and Football and Mascot Football registration totals include a refundable $100 volunteer deposit and $100 gear deposit. Volunteers receive apparel and a badge that shows their title, and volunteers must register, submit to a background check, and all positions must be interviewed prior to enrollment.
