Van Go! Outreach Programs

Van Go! Outreach Programs offers hands-on activities such as Reactions in Action, Tap Into Sound, Mission: Imagination Challenge, Emotions at Play, Color Lab, and Building & Engineering. The Building & Engineering program uses Rigamajig and Giant Magnet Panels as part of its setup.

• Ages: 4–8 years old
• Schedule: Member-only hours are Tuesday–Sunday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, with general admission Tuesday–Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and Saturday–Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• Price: Adults and children 12 months and older are $10.00 each; grandparents and seniors are $8.00 each; military and veterans are $8.00 each; Museums for All admission is $3.00 each for up to 4 admissions; ACM admission is $5.00 each for up to 6 admissions; ASTC admission is free for up to 6 admissions; current museum members are always free, with proof, ID, and listed restrictions applying.

The mission of Van Go! Outreach Programs is to spark a passion for life-long learning by providing a place where children are encouraged to think for themselves, expand their problem-solving abilities through creative exploration, and exercise both their bodies and their minds. Community involvement connected to the program includes Leo's Learning Lab hosting the Play Around the World exhibit, Team Leo joining neighbors at Sac State’s Homecoming, and Team Leo participating in an inaugural event at the California Automobile Museum. Unique features associated with the program include Sensory Friendly Play, a Members-Only Mess Fest, the Shamrock Shimmy 2026 event for children with special and sensory needs, their families, and their caregivers, and the Dog with Jobs 2026 event to meet working dogs from around the region.
