Van Go! Outreach Programs

Van Go! Outreach Programs are part of the Sacramento Children’s Museum offerings and include themed options such as Reactions in Action, Tap Into Sound, Mission: Imagination Challenge, Emotions at Play, Color Lab, and Building & Engineering. Each program has specific setup needs, such as tables, outlets, sinks, or large open areas for materials like the Rigamajig and Giant Magnet Panels.

• Schedule: Member-only hours run Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, with general admission Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
• Price: Adults and children 12 months and older are $10.00 each; grandparents and seniors are $8.00 each; military and veterans are $8.00 each; Museums for All admission is $3.00 each for up to 4 admissions; ACM admission is $5.00 each for up to 6 admissions; ASTC admission is free for up to 6 admissions; current museum members are always free; a Heatwave Mini-Membership is available for $99 for three months for up to 4 named individuals.

The mission of Van Go! Outreach Programs, as part of the Sacramento Children’s Museum, is to spark a passion for life-long learning by providing a place where children are encouraged to think for themselves, expand their problem-solving abilities through creative exploration, and exercise both their bodies and their minds. Leo’s Learning Lab hosts the “Play Around the World” exhibit, and the organization also participates in community events such as Sac State’s Homecoming and activities at the California Automobile Museum. Unique features connected to these programs and the museum include the “Play Around the World” exhibit, the Fifteen Years of Play Fundraiser Event, Sensory Friendly Play at SCM, and the Heatwave Mini-Membership three-month pass.
