San Bernardino County Preschool Services Head Start and Early Head Start

San Bernardino County Preschool Services Head Start and Early Head Start offers Head Start for children ages 3 to 5 years, Early Head Start Center-Based for infants and toddlers ages 0 to 3, Early Head Start Home-Based for ages 0 to 3, and Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Program for ages 0 to 3. It also offers Low Income First Time Mothers for pregnant women and new parents of infants, Home Visiting Program for pregnant and parenting women, families, and infants, California State Preschool Program for children ages 3 to 5 years, and Fatherhood FIRE Program for fathers.

Programs

• Head Start (HS) — 3 to 5 years of age
• Early Head Start Center-Based (EHS CB) — 0 to 3 · Center-Based options. Serves infants and toddlers who need a regular schedule that is predictable but flexible enough to meet their individual needs.
• Early Head Start Home-Based (EHS HB) — 0 to 3
• Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Program (EHS CCP) — 0 to 3
• Low Income First Time Mothers (LIFT) — pregnant women and new parents of infants · A Registered Nurse comes to your home once a week to discuss prenatal care, infant care, and infant health and development.
• Home Visiting Program (HVP) — pregnant and parenting women, families, and infants · Supports positive health, development, and outcomes through home visits and group socialization experiences. Eligible parents are referred through the Transitional Assistance Department.
• California State Preschool Program (CSPP) — 3 to 5 years · Serves children in a classroom setting. PSD combines State Preschool with Head Start to provide wide-ranging services to families.
• Fatherhood FIRE Program — fathers
