The school’s mission states that it is dedicated to educating students of all ages and economic backgrounds, with a focus on interaction with others, skill development, self-discipline, and artistic expression, and on providing a positive learning environment that supports self-confidence and self-esteem through the performing arts.

Valverde School of Performing Arts reports teaching 4,500+ performing arts students over eleven years, with 20+ alumni who have careers in the arts, 16 performing arts disciplines taught, and 47 total productions. The school offers two MainStage dance productions or recitals each year, four musicals each year, an evening of drama each fall from the theater department, three music recitals each year from the music department, an annual summer showcase, a spring play or musical, spring and fall music recitals, and a fall dance drama. VSPA has affiliated non-profit performing troupes called Expressions, Encore, Entourage, Improv Troupe, and Rock School, which perform throughout the Inland Empire at events such as the L.A. County Fair, the Festival of Winter, Village on the Green, and Knott’s Berry Farm. Families can register online for a class and attend one free trial class, excluding private lessons and workshops. One alum, Savannah Anderson (2008–2012), stated, “I felt welcomed and that I was in an environment where I could practice to be the artist I wanted to be.”
