About
Valverde School of Performing Arts offers dance classes, music classes, and theater classes in one program. Students can take part in MainStage Dance Productions and recitals, musicals, drama, music recitals, an Annual Showcase, a spring play or musical, Spring and Fall music recitals, and a Fall Dance Drama. The program also includes performing troupes called Expressions, Encore, Entourage, an Improv Troupe, and Rock School.

Valverde School of Performing Arts is a performing arts school that brings dance, music, and theater classes together in one place. VSPA was established in 2005 and is owned and operated by the Valverde family. All of the teachers are active students of their fields, and many hold degrees or are pursuing degrees in their areas of instruction. The school teaches 16 performing arts disciplines and notes over eleven years there have been more than 4,500 performing arts students and over 20 alumni with careers in the arts. Students can register online for one free trial class, excluding private lessons and workshops.
The mission of Valverde School of Performing Arts is to educate students and the Inland Empire community about the performing arts through active participation and observation. The mission statement says students are treated with respect and given the chance to experience growth in interacting with others, skill development, self-discipline, and artistic expression. The stated goal is to provide a positive learning environment that supports improved self-confidence and self-esteem through artistic expression in the performing arts.
Valverde School of Performing Arts offers two MainStage Dance Productions or recitals each year, four musicals each year, an evening of drama each fall from the Theater Department, three music recitals each year from the Music Department, and an Annual Showcase each summer. The school also produces a spring play or musical, Spring and Fall music recitals, and a Fall Dance Drama. VSPA states that it strives to offer artists great technique, good work ethics, and many performance opportunities.
VSPA has affiliated non-profit performing troupes called Expressions, Encore, Entourage, Improv Troupe, and Rock School. These troupes perform throughout the Inland Empire and have appeared at the L.A. County Fair, the Festival of Winter, Village on the Green, and Knott’s Berry Farm.
A testimonial from VSPA alumna Savannah Anderson, who attended from 2008 to 2012, states, “I felt welcomed and that I was in an environment where I could practice to be the artist I wanted to be.”
