Ride to Fly offers therapeutic horseback riding, adaptive riding, and equine assisted learning. Participants take part in therapeutic riding (TR) and learn horseback riding skills in a structured lesson format.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: 10-week Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall sessions; each lesson lasts 30 minutes
• Price: The cost of a 10-week session, including lesson fees and session fee, is $900.
Ride to Fly is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that provides therapeutic horseback riding and associated learning experiences to children 4 years and up and adults with disabilities within a safe, nurturing environment. Ride to Fly has been serving the South Bay area since 1994 and is a PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) member operating center. Lessons may have one, two, or occasionally three students participating, and the program uses adaptive riding equipment and support based on each individual’s needs. Ride To Fly relies heavily on donations of time, money, equipment, and supplies from members of the community, and scholarship applications are available upon request.
