About
Redlands Gymnastics Club offers gymnastics and dance, along with special events such as Parents Night Out, Skills Open Gym, and Play Dates. The program uses challenging equipment and incorporates music, gymnastics, dance, and other elements into a structured lesson plan. Families can also take part in Play Dates, where parents are able to use the gym’s facility with their children without a membership commitment.
• Ages: 3–12 years old
Redlands Gymnastics Club has over 900 enrolled students and more than 20 staff members and coaches, and some classes have waiting lists. The program includes a larger than normal Observation Area. Its mission is to create a high-quality, safe and enjoyable environment where all children, regardless of athletic ability, will have the opportunity to build confidence and overall fitness through gymnastics. The program states that staff care deeply about the personal development of each student and that personal development always supersedes athletic skill achievement. It describes itself as an innovative program that provides children with an enjoyable learning experience which produces a profoundly positive and lasting effect on their personal growth and focuses on helping kids of all ages and all levels to grow, develop, lay a foundation of healthy habits, and have fun.
Founder Sandy Stein has owned the gym since May 2000, after previously serving as Gym Manager at Tumble Tots Gymnastics. Sandy’s vision for Redlands Gymnastics Club began nearly 20 years before the time of writing, and in July 2012 the newly renamed Redlands Gymnastics Club moved into its current 9,000 sq. ft. facility. The gym notes that this venture is all about and all for the kids of Redlands and neighboring cities.
