Blue Chip Flag – Redwood City offers youth flag football in an organized league setting. The program uses non-contact play with age-appropriate rules and includes co-ed teams as well as an all-girls GEMS (Girls Empowerment Movement in Sports) pathway at every level. Every child who wants to play gets a chance to step on the field, and every kid plays every week with equal opportunity to get on the field and rotate positions.
• Ages: 3–17 years old
• Schedule: Spring season runs April 12th – May 31st, 2026, with no games on Sunday, May 24th; fall season runs October 25th – December 13th.
Blue Chip Sports has been leading youth flag football programs for over ten years. Coaches are background-checked. The league focuses on building confidence, creating friendships, and having fun while learning the game, with an emphasis on teaching sportsmanship, teamwork, respect, and leadership. The program follows an email-only customer service policy with defined response times and uses a Game-Day Hotline or text-alert system for last-minute cancellations, weather delays, or safety emergencies. Coaches, volunteers, parents, and community partners work together to create a safe, exciting, and supportive environment where kids can discover a love for football and for being part of something bigger than themselves. At Blue Chip Youth Sports, the mission states that all athletes have the potential to be great, and that the difference between an average athlete and a “Blue Chip” athlete is the time, dedication, and sacrifice put into developing their skills, with a vision of a community of athletes all striving to become their best.
