NCEFT Outdoor Education Programs include equine-assisted activities such as recreational horseback riding, horsemanship lessons, mounted and unmounted activities, and hands-on horsemanship activities. Program offerings also include Physical and Occupational Therapy, Mental Health and Resilience programs, Adaptive Riding and Horsemanship, group retreats, resilience retreats, resilience camps for youth, Happy Trails Camp, Special Education School Program, Veteran and First Responder Programs, Community Outreach programs, an Adaptive Riding Horsemanship Academy, and an Employment Skills Internship Program. Happy Trails Camp is a week-long summer day camp that includes games and arts and crafts.

• Price: NCEFT offers its services 100% free of charge to U.S. Military Veterans as well as First Responders.

Founded in 1971, NCEFT is dedicated to helping children, adults, and military Veterans with special needs reach beyond their boundaries through equine-assisted therapies, education, and research. Programs utilize equine-assisted interventions and can incorporate medical-quality equine movement, and NCEFT utilizes its herd of horses in programming. NCEFT offers an outdoor farm experience to children with special needs in special education classes, and Happy Trails Camp is described as being filled with chances to explore, engage with, and enjoy the world of horses and the outdoors.

NCEFT is a nonprofit public benefit corporation and is internationally recognized as a pioneer and leader of equine-assisted programs in the United States. NCEFT holds a Platinum status from Guidestar.org, a top rating on GreatNonProfits.org, Mentor status with EQUUS Foundation, and is the only Northern California Facility member of the American Hippotherapy Association. NCEFT adheres to high standards of professionalism, licensing, accreditation, safety, and fiscal integrity. NCEFT is seeking a PATH certified Adaptive Riding Instructor and is hiring an Occupational Therapist. All guests are required to complete online Visitor Forms before arrival, including a General Agreement & Release of Liability, Confidentiality Agreement, and Photo/Video Release.
