The program also offers personal training, cardio and free weights, along with ESL, tutoring, math tutoring, and language tutoring. The kids MMA program blends Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Taekwondo, and kickboxing, and the adult MMA program combines Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, striking, and kickboxing.

World class instruction is led by 10th degree black belt Greg Escolta, who has 30 years of experience, and kids’ martial arts are led and assessed by a black belt instructor. The leadership team includes Greg Escolta, Martial Arts Instructor and Co-Founder, and Frances Schreiner, Program Director and Co-Founder. Credentialed math and language teachers review standardized testing to identify learning gaps, and all tutoring is delivered 1-on-1 and built on personal relationships. RISE offers an innovative one-stop martial arts program and tutoring to children and ESL to parents, with ESL classes that incorporate parental advocacy skills and a one-stop shop model that addresses language, transportation, and childcare barriers. The mission at RISE is to focus on providing services to North Fair Oaks and transforming lives by offering this combined martial arts, tutoring, and ESL program, with each part delivering concrete outcomes that change the lives of the families served.
