Nomura Preschool

Nomura Preschool offers age-appropriate academics along with enriching art, music, creative free play, and stimulating physical activities. Children can also take part in extracurricular classes such as soccer, gymnastics, dance, and music, which include end-of-the-year performances. The program takes place on a campus with a child-centered, nurturing environment designed to spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of learning, and has toddler, preschool, and pre-kindergarten classes for children ages 18 months–5 years old.

Nomura Preschool has provided high quality early education since 1964, when Mrs. Faith Nomura founded a small music preschool in Berkeley, California. It has served children in Albany, El Cerrito, Richmond, Berkeley, and surrounding communities since 1964. The current leadership team includes Matthew Clark (School Administrator), Melanie Clark (Admissions Director), and Keiko Hernandez (School Director), with Mrs. Faith Nomura as the founder. The school has a diverse staff from a variety of different backgrounds, and its teachers are described as patient, dedicated, experienced educators who strive to instill in all students a passion and love for learning. Nomura Preschool operates under License # 070209834 and License # 073408284. The mission of Nomura Preschool is to build connections between its students and the world around them.
