Richmond Gymnastics Association Programs offers recreational gymnastics, competitive gymnastics, and Gymnastics for All (GfA). The programs include specific streams such as Active Start, Foundations, and an advanced/competitive stream. Programs are led by certified coaches who understand the importance and concepts of physical literacy and are committed to the well-rounded development of any participant.

• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday 4pm–8pm and Saturday 9am–1pm; closed Sundays and all statutory holidays

Richmond Gymnastics Association was started in 1969 when two women, Shirley Bakaway and Judy Rithaler, began the organization, and committed individuals such as George Bodgt, Harvey and Laura Moore, and Richmond Leisure Services helped install the program into the Sea Island Forum in the mid 1970s. Programs are led by coaches who are educated, experienced, and certified in varied levels of the National Coaching Certificate program specific to gymnastics. The mission of Richmond Gymnastics Association Programs is to develop, engage, and support participants at their levels of competence to either build on the fundamentals of physical literacy to stay active for life, or to compete successfully in the sport of gymnastics. The organization states that there is room for everyone in this sport, from recreational and Gymnastics for All (GfA) participants to competitive or high performance national and international competitors, and that it provides an environment of training regardless of age, ability, or goals. Richmond Gymnastics Association teaches discipline, perseverance, respect for self and peers, accountability, and the strive for personal excellence, and its vision is to, through gymnastics, continually inspire participation and promote lifelong wellbeing at physical, mental, emotional, and social levels. Its core values are Friendship, Excellence, and Respect.

Richmond Gymnastics Association is a registered not-for-profit society incorporated under the BC Societies Act and is governed by a volunteer board of directors. It is a member of Gymnastics BC and Gymnastics Canada and is regulated by the policies and rules laid out by these provincial and national bodies. The organization lists financial assistance connections with KidSport Richmond, Kidsport Vancouver, Jumpstart, and A4K, and provides other helpful links to Gymnastics BC and Gymnastics Canada. Richmond Gymnastics Association acknowledges and recognizes the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) First Nation, and First Peoples of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language group, on whose traditional, ancestral, and unceded land it lives, works, and plays.
