Skytown Parent Cooperative Preschool

Skytown Parent Cooperative Preschool offers a play-based, emergent curriculum where children and parents participate together through activities such as classroom participation, playdates, family jobs, work parties, fundraising, and parent education. Children have access to a multi-age classroom and move freely indoors and outdoors for most of the day. Tours take place the first Friday of every month from 10:30–11:30 AM.

• Price: TODDLER PROGRAM (18m–3 years old): 3 days/week $728.00 per month; 4 days/week $970.00 per month. PRESCHOOL PROGRAM (2.5–5 years old): 3 days/week $594.00 per month; 4 days/week $792.00 per month; 5 days/week $986.00 per month. BUYOUTS: Classroom Participation $96.00 for each day; Family Job $150.00 per month; Work Party $215.00 per semester; Fundraising $78.00 per hour (10 hours required).

At Skytown Parent Cooperative Preschool, teachers and parents work together to create a play-based, emergent curriculum and support the development of self-confident, self-aware, and compassionate human beings. Skytown uses elements of the Reggio Emilia philosophy to allow the curriculum to emerge from the children’s own interests. Skytown is currently accepting applications for the 2025–2026 school year and is enrolling for the 2026–2027 school year. Skytown is located in Richmond and serves the East Bay including Albany, Berkeley, El Cerrito, El Sobronte, Kensington, Pinole, and San Pablo, CA.
