About

Snapology STEAM Learning Programs offers hands-on activities such as robotics, coding, design challenges, and building and programming robotic models that move, make sounds, and respond to sensors. Children take part in themed activities including a Star Wars Challenge where they design custom light sabers, an Engineering Challenge focused on mechanical movement, simple machines, physics, and engineering design, and Animation using LEGO bricks and stop-motion animation software to write, direct, and edit movies. The program also includes a Robot Challenge using LEGO bricks with simple remotes and sensors, and Amusement Park Adventures Engineering where children use LEGO bricks and other building materials to build coasters and other rides with motors, along with after-school programs, summer camps, workshops, field trips, birthday parties, assemblies, and custom events.

• Ages: 4–14 years old

According to its mission statement, Snapology STEAM Learning Programs offers year-round STEAM learning programs that use fun, hands-on activities to teach Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics with LEGO bricks, K’Nex, and technology, and the classes are designed based on research that shows children’s best learning experiences come from actively designing, creating, interacting, and inventing. The program states that children are meant to learn through play, that when children are actively engaged in hands-on, interactive learning activities their creativity flourishes and they show a greater interest in school, and that Snapology helps children grow up with a thirst for knowledge. Snapology programs are available in schools, community facilities, homes, and in Discovery Centers, and local Snapology teams host classes at local facilities and special events for schools and groups. The program also offers top-rated Girl Scout and Scouts BSA activities, provides a dedicated Snapologist to teach students as they work in pairs to promote team building in scout programs, offers Snapology patches at an additional cost for scout groups that complete programs, and tailors programs to help Girl Scouts work toward STEM badges by carefully evaluating all Girl Scout STEM badges to ensure each step toward earning a badge is met and exceeded. Testimonials describe students being engaged and learning hands-on during a school field trip, a 3-year-old enjoying a glow room and making block pictures to hang on the wall, and a 6th birthday party at Snapology that a parent describes as perfect for their group.
