About
Sportball is a method-backed sports program for children that includes Multi-Sport, T-Ball, Soccer, Basketball, Tennis, Hockey, Camps, Golf, Volleyball, and Football. The Multi-Sport program introduces kids to a wide range of sports and activities, and the T-Ball option is described as baseball 101 for kids. The Hockey program is offered without requiring ice or skates, and all activities teach the fundamentals of movement through fun and engaging activities with a focus on purposeful fun.
• Ages: 1–12 years old
Sportball’s mission is to spark a lifelong passion for staying active, with sport programs designed to help kids learn the ABCs of physical literacy. The program focuses on fostering an inclusive environment where nobody feels left out, with an emphasis that the fun is in the playing, not the winning. Activities focus on making friends, learning new skills, and having a good time, and the program provides kids a community outside of school where they can develop new hobbies. Programs are available across Canada and the USA.
Parents describe their children asking to sign up for more Sportball seasons and getting excited about attending. They report small group sizes that allow kids to understand more and ask questions, and they highlight that their children have had many chances to try different sports and learn new skills. Parents also describe coaches as kind, humorous, professional, friendly, and gentle in how they bring less eager children into activities, and they note that their children feel empowered and confident.
