About

Sportball Basketball is part of the Sportball program, which offers basketball along with Multi-Sport, T-Ball, Soccer, Tennis, and Hockey. The basketball programs teach all of the basics, from dribbling to layups and everything in between. Sportball teaches the fundamentals of movement through fun and engaging activities across Canada and the USA, with a focus on playing rather than winning and fostering an inclusive environment where nobody feels left out.

• Ages: 1–12 years old

Sportball describes its mission as a method-backed sports program for children designed to spark a lifelong passion for staying active. The sport programs are designed to help kids learn the ABCs of physical literacy while bringing kids into a community outside of school where they can develop new hobbies.

Parents describe positive experiences with Sportball coaches and sessions. Monique, mom of a 3-year-old Sportballer, says her child begged to sign up for another season and that it is the only activity her child gets excited about. Emma, mom of a 4-year-old Sportballer, says sign-up was easy, communication is effortless, and that coach Tenim leads with kindness, humour, and professionalism while instilling confidence. Hilary, mom of a 2-year-old Sportballer, says coach Dan and coach Sandry keep the kids engaged and that she loves the Multi-Sport program for her 2-year-old. Mona Lisa, mom of a 5-year-old Sportballer, says her son is having a great time learning all the sports and likes that there are few kids in a batch so they can understand more and ask questions. Edward, dad of a 3-year-old Sportballer, says his son has had many chances to try different sports and learn new skills, and that the coaches at their location have been incredible for each session series, leaving his son feeling empowered and confident. Leslie, mom of a 5-year-old Sportballer, says coach Peter has been amazing with her son, who often does not want to participate, and that coach Peter always finds a way to gently bring him into the activity in a way that fits his personality.
