The Little Gym first opened its doors in 1976 in Bellevue, Washington, and this year marks 50 years since it first opened. The program is described as a fun and safe place for children to learn and grow, with an environment described as fun with a serious purpose. It uses a Three-Dimensional Learning philosophy called Get Moving, Brain Boost, and Citizen Kid, with programs described as supporting physical, social, and emotional growth. The Little Gym is described as a global community of families, instructors, and local business owners and as the original creators of childhood development long before it trended online. Birthday parties are described as “simply AWESOME,” camps are described as educational and fun, and Parent Survival Night is described as giving parents a break. The Little Gym was founded by Robin Wes.

Parent feedback includes: “We have enjoyed The Little Gym with our two year old. The kids are encouraged by the coaches and feel safe trying new things. Coach Janaiya is awesome!!” from Risa Allen. Another parent, Irina Brimmell, describes “engaging and kind instructors, very active throughout the full lesson.” Destiny Privott shares, “If you’re hesitant about trying out The Little Gym, just go for it! My daughter is 17 months now and I am so happy we took that leap. It did take her a few sessions to warm up but once she got there it was a great time.”
