The Salvation Army Summer Camps offer swimming, canoeing, hiking, archery, other sports, arts and crafts, music, drama, team-building activities, leadership training, community service projects, and scouting. Camp sessions include outdoor recreation, educational activities, and hands-on projects, with both day and overnight camp options. The camps are free summer camp programs in a network that allows kids of all ages, regardless of family income level, to attend.

Camp programs include supervision by trained counselors who are equipped to help children navigate complicated emotions and struggles related to poverty, and who are trained to recognize the effects of stressors of poverty on children and respond to a child’s emotional needs so kids feel safe, included, and welcome.
