K.S. Choi Taekwondo Center offers Taekwondo and self-defense classes. The program follows a Taekwondo-based curriculum that uses the body to train the mind and focuses on self-discipline, integrity, competition, friendship, community, and perseverance.

• Schedule: Class options Monday–Friday afternoons and evenings, and Saturday mornings
K.S. Choi Taekwondo Center is a family owned academy under the lineage of the Choi family and is described as a generational Taekwondo academy. K.S. Choi Taekwondo Center has been serving the South Bay for over 40 years, and Grand Master Kwon Sung Choi opened his first school in 1982 in San Pedro, CA before moving to the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The academy is led by founder Grand Master Kwon Sung Choi, with Master Danny Choi and Master Megan Yi Choi in charge of the family owned academy. Each of the instructors are Kukkiwon certified black belts with years of teaching experience, and some are both national and international Taekwondo athletes and champions. All classes have at least three instructors at all times. The school fosters a supportive atmosphere and sense of community where students can thrive, form friendships, and learn values such as respect and camaraderie.
One parent, Hamelth Villalobos, describes the masters as exceptional and notes the black belt students’ achievements in state and national tournaments, as well as a warm and inclusive environment. Another parent, Ayako Tu, shares that their three sons have trained there since 2015, participating in local, state, and national tournaments and many family-oriented activities. A parent who moved from San Jose states that K.S. Choi is the second Taekwondo school for their son and says, “I highly recommend this Taekwondo school,” and another parent, Hyungjin Yoon, also states, “I highly recommend this Taekwondo school.”
