About
Gracie Barra Roseville Kids Programs offers Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes for children and teens, along with self-defense training and an anti-bullying program. The kids programs are described as one of the largest and most successful in the greater Sacramento and Roseville area and are part of a structured curriculum that provides step-by-step guidance in a safe and supportive environment. The program follows Gracie Barra’s philosophy of “Jiu-Jitsu for Everyone” and includes realistic, non-violent self-defense skills with a focus on building a “bully-proof” mindset through its anti-bullying curriculum.
• Ages: 4–16 years old
The kids programs are organized into age- and skill-specific classes: Tiny Champions (ages 4–5), Little Champions 1 (ages 6–7), Little Champions 2 (ages 8–9), Juniors and Teens (ages 10–16), and Advanced Kids (ages 7–13). The anti-bullying program is based on three stated pillars: Confidence; Intelligence and De-escalation; and Control Technique as a last resort. The curriculum is described as ensuring that each student learns at their own pace with appropriate technique and care, and every class is described as being designed to instill core values that shape character.
