About

Amped Studios Youth Dance Program is part of a boutique dance and fitness studio that offers youth dance classes, dance workshops, events, and performance opportunities. The program includes group dance and fitness training, private dance and fitness training, private lessons, and options for private parties. It is part of a studio that also offers quinceañera and wedding choreography services, studio rentals, and training and performance opportunities for serious and committed pre-professional dancers.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Class and training options are available Monday–Thursday during daytime and evening hours, and Friday–Saturday during daytime hours.

The program takes place in a 3,000 sq ft. boutique dance and fitness studio that features top-of-the-line sprung flooring systems, cutting-edge lighting, and state-of-the-art sound equipment. The studio describes itself as more than just a dance and fitness studio and as a community where dancers can train alongside industry professionals and engage with Sacramento’s talent. It offers an eclectic mix of dancers from recreational to pre-professional levels and provides ways for dancers to showcase their talents through performance opportunities. An Amped Studios app is available for iOS and Android to view class schedules, book spots, receive notifications, connect with the community, and access exclusive content.

The program is led by owner Ana Maria Perales, who is also the Artistic Director of Ana Maria Perales Entertainment & Dance and AMPED Entertainment. Teaching artists listed for the studio include Patrick Alvarado, Brittini Musson, William McCray, Ana Maria, Anastasia Gonzales, Amy Alejandro, Colton Cissney, Annelise Eastes, Ali Evans, Tasia Turner, and Amanda Turner. Ana Maria Perales graduated from the New Orleans Conservatory for Performing Arts (NOCCA) with a Certificate of Musical Theatre Performance, graduated from Bryan College with an associate's degree in kinesiology, and holds both an Apex Personal Training Certification and a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) CPT certification.

Ana Maria Perales is a proud member of Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre and shares her experience and passion for the arts with the Sacramento community. She was an Elly Award–nominated actress for her starring role as Anna in Nilo Cruz's “Anna and the Tropics.” She also performed and worked as a dance captain in Green Valley Theatre’s production of “In the Heights,” which won seven Elly Awards in 2015, including Best Musical and Best Choreography.
