About the provider

Camp Menzies was established in 1946, and Girl Scouts Heart of Central California has operated summer camps out of Camp Menzies for over 75 years. Camp Menzies is accredited by the American Camp Association and meets national Girl Scout standards for program, administration, safety, and facilities operation. Wild Weekends are hosted by GSHCC staff and volunteers, and Day Camps are supported by trained staff and dedicated volunteers.

Girl Scout campers go to Camp Menzies without their adult caregivers. Camp Menzies is described as a sleepaway camp that varies in length from 3 day to 8 day sessions. Girl Scout Family Camp is for the entire family and is said to be perfect for first-time campers. Girl Scout Troop Camp is for troops and is great for those not ready to go to camp on their own.
