East Sacramento Little League (ESLL) was founded in 1951 and is one of more than 7,000 Little Leagues around the world. Its mission is to promote and nurture the ideals of citizenship, discipline, teamwork, and physical well-being through the sports of baseball and softball, and it states that by espousing the virtues of sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, and courage, the Little League Baseball and Softball programs are designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes. ESLL is a member of California District 7, which also includes Airport Little League, Florin Little League, Land Park Pacific Little League, Land Park Softball Little League, Oak Park Little League, Parkway Little League, Pocket Little League, and Tahoe Tallac Little League. The program notes that its Coach Pitch Baseball All-Stars are District 7 Champs.
