Elite Basketball Training at Rockball offers individual training, group training, and team training that focus on basketball skills such as footwork, dribbling, passing, shooting, ball handling, speed, agility, explosive footwork, finishing, post moves, and fundamental shooting. The program also uses a shooting gun and includes basketball training that breaks down offensive and defensive movements as part of a comprehensive basketball training journey tailored to refine and elevate skills. Rockball describes itself as “The School of Basketball,” and trainers emphasize building self-confidence and self-development in athletes.

Elite Basketball Training at Rockball includes specialized modules to enhance basketball IQ and provide a strategic edge on the court.

The leadership and training staff include Coach Wayne Smith, Coach Jay, Coach Liz Gehweiler, Coach Keenan Prince, Coach Lauren (Lo), and Coach Devin. Coach Wayne Smith is a former high school and overseas basketball player who specializes in ball handling, speed, agility, and explosive footwork. Coach Jay is a former JUCO and overseas basketball player who specializes in coaching various skill levels ranging from beginner to professional. Coach Liz Gehweiler has been formally training all levels since 2016, specializes in breaking down offensive and defensive movements as well as ball handling and finishing, and played for Sierra College and William Jessup University as a 2x All Conference and All-American player. Coach Keenan Prince is a former top 10 scorer in the nation in 2008 at Marysville High School (2nd in the state in California), specializes in shooting and scoring at different levels on the court, attended Yuba College, and received a full ride to Hawaii Pacific University (HPU). Coach Lauren is a former high school and college basketball player who specializes in post moves and fundamental shooting and played six years of college basketball while earning a master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration. Coach Devin is a former high school shooting guard who specializes in shooting, dribbling, and footwork, was a top 15 scorer in Sacramento, and in 2013 was #16 in California for 3-pointers made.

Coach Wayne’s mission statement is that he works to build self development and looks to develop young men and women to expose their potential to be the best of their ability by setting long term and short term goals, with a lead by example attitude and never quit mentality, and he strives to mold his clients by creating habits in their life that will ultimately lead to success. Coach Jay’s mission statement is that basketball has given him many life skills such as hard work, accountability, being dependable, and knowing how to respond to adversity, and he looks forward to continuing to help the next generation of student athletes and give back to the game. Coach Liz’s mission statement is that her goal is to give back to the community that has shaped her and blessed her with many opportunities in life, and she wants to positively influence younger generations to be leaders on the court or in life. Coach Lauren’s mission statement is to drastically improve every player's skill level that she comes across while instilling the utmost confidence in these young athletes.

Coach Liz is described as very passionate about giving back to her community. Coach Jay looks forward to helping the next generation of student athletes and giving back to the game. Coach Devin wants to give back to the game and watch the basketball community keep moving forward and expanding.

Coach Liz’s credentials include being a 2x All Conference and All-American player. Coach Keenan’s credentials include being a former top 10 scorer in the nation in 2008 at Marysville High School and 2nd in the state of California. Coach Devin’s credentials include being a top 15 scorer in Sacramento and ranking #16 in California for 3-pointers made in 2013.
