EmpowerME Preschool & Childcare

EmpowerME Preschool & Childcare includes focused learning time for young children with name recognition, letters, shapes, colors, numbers, and values. The program also uses a structured daily schedule with extended learning time for the preschool classroom.

Programs

• EnrichME (Infant) — Infants aged 3–24 months · Monday through Friday
• EncourageME (Toddler) — 18–36 months · Monday through Friday · Group participation and structured schedule with focused learning time introducing name recognition, letters, shapes, colors, numbers and values.
• EmpowerME (Preschool) — 24 months through entry to Kindergarten · Monday through Friday · Structured daily schedule with extended learning time covering names, letters, shapes, colors, numbers, and values.
• EducateME (Pre-K) — 36 months through entry to first grade · Monday through Friday · Preschool/Pre-K classroom for students who have met assessment standards and are ready for a more academic environment.
• EngageME (School-Age) — School-aged students · Pre-scheduled dates of school closures; maximum of 9 hours between 7:30am-5:45pm · Open on all the days school is closed; accepts up to 28 school-aged students.
• Summer Camp / Break Camps — School-aged students · Monday through Friday during school closures · Special program offered at a dramatically reduced rate; accepts up to 28 school-aged students per session.

At a glance

• Ages: 0–12 years old
• Facility hours: 7am–6pm, Monday–Friday; infant care ends at 5:45pm. School-age care is offered for a maximum of 9 hours between 7:30am-5:45pm on pre-scheduled school closure dates.

About the provider

Single Mom Strong says its mission is to empower single mothers and their children through enrichment, encouragement, and educational programs. EmpowerME locations are fully licensed by the State of California and are proud to be a SMUD Sustainable Communities Partner. Program leadership is listed as Program Director Beth Seren, Founder Tara Taylor, and Childcare Director Elicia Clark.

• Tutoring — Grades K-8; 30 minutes for Pre-K, Kinder and 1st grade · Online or in the Empowerment Center · Affordable, quality tutoring with a high school or college student; first session is always free.

Single Mom Strong works with families using childcare assistance programs. The FAQ says contact the office to confirm eligibility. A child may move to the next classroom only when stated classroom-readiness conditions are met.
