About
EmpowerME Summer Camp & Break Camps are part of EmpowerME Preschool & Childcare programs that include school-age non-school day care and school-age break camps when schools are closed. Summer Camp and Break Camps accept up to 28 school-aged students per session, five days per week, Monday through Friday. EngageME (School-Age) is open on all the days schools are closed and accepts up to 28 school-aged students on pre-scheduled dates of school closures.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Summer Camp/Break Camps run Monday–Friday, with school-age care available between 7am–6pm and EngageME care offered for a maximum of 9 hours between 7:30am–5:45pm
• Price: Break Camps are offered at a dramatically reduced rate in support of the community, and rates are significantly lower than most private childcare centers without compromising on quality
Single Mom Strong’s mission is to empower single mothers and their children through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs, including innovative childcare solutions such as EmpowerME Summer Camp & Break Camps. Parents describe EmpowerME as affordable and say that the staff treat every child with genuine care and respect, giving them peace of mind while they are at work. One parent reports that their child looks forward to going every day and that teachers support both academic learning and life skills, including working alongside parents on potty training. Another parent shares that their child is captivated by the curriculum and the way local community organizations get involved to teach children about the world around them.
