Dolphin Swim School

Dolphin Swim School offers Aquababy group classes for children ages 6 months to 2 years old. It also offers Aquatike I, II, and III for ages 3 to 5, Beginner I, II, and III for ages 6 to 15, Intermediate I & II for ages 6 to 15, Advanced I & II for ages 6 to 15, Competitive Swim for ages 6 to 18, and Adult lessons for ages 16 and up.

Programs

• Aquababy — 6 Months - 2 Years Old · $30 per class · Group Aqua baby classes (6mo - 2yrs).
• Aquatike I, II, and III — 3 - 5 Years Old · Designed specifically to accommodate the language and motor skills of 3 to 5 year old students; focuses on learning basic core body position, gross and fine motor skills, and breathing techniques.
• Beginner I, II, and III — 6 - 15 Years Old · For school-aged students with no previous swim experience; students learn fundamental body position, motor skills, and breathing techniques.
• Intermediate I & II — 6 - 15 Years Old · After the Beginner series, students learn breaststroke techniques.
• Advanced I & II — 6 - 15 Years Old · Introduces the butterfly stroke to students who have completed the Intermediate series curriculum.
• Competitive Swim — 6 - 18 Years Old · Designed for students with a working knowledge of all four swim strokes who wish to tune their technique and prepare to join a competitive swim club.
• Adult — 16+ Years Old · Adult lessons start with fundamentals of water acclimation, breath control, body position, and in-water safety, then move to refined stroke technique and increased stamina.

About the provider

Dolphin Swim School was established in 1974 and has served families in the greater Sacramento area for the past 45 years. Leadership includes Stacey Magdaleno, Aquatics Director, and Sammy Hudson, Aquatics Assistant Manager. The program follows Swim Schools International (SSI) internationally recognized training standards, and its instructors are SSI trained and SSI safety certified.

• Pool Parties — Birthday parties in the 92-degree indoor heated pool with supervised fun, a large room for food and gifts, and time for setup and cleanup.
• Swim evaluations — Complimentary 5–10 minute swim evaluation; also described as a free 10-minute swim evaluation to identify skill level and place students in the right class.

Auto-payment is encouraged for families who wish to maintain their regular spots month-to-month. Enrollments cannot be paused. Students are eligible for one makeup lesson each month with advance notice required. Annual registration fee of $50.00 per family per year.
